Vancouver artists Paul de Guzman and James Nizam offer separate high-concept photo projects.

Nizam juxtaposes abandoned interiors with projected images of exteriors. It’s a pairing of opposites that generally works well, and even better if you know those exteriors are funnelled in on site by means of a camera obscura.
De Guzman’s images of Lego and postcards are more cryptic ultimately it’s his cut-up magazines, displayed alongside as sculptures, that have greater appeal.
