The diptych Weight depicts a shop’s grubby scale and fridge juxtaposed with a portrait of two men sitting in a spare living room, seemingly weighed down by life. Sanaz Mazinani‘s astute, subtle images convey layers of meaning underlying daily life in the Islamic state.
