if you need to know there’s artout there 24/7, check out the Natural Light Window, a storefront spot that is exactly what its name implies.Right now, the Window features a simple but compelling installation by Rupen. The artist displays three sets — in red, blue and black — of wall-mounted sculptures, each consisting of four variations on the insert used to keep big-holed 45s centred on a turntable.
They look great and obviously evoke strong sentiments in viewers who spend more time in the neighbourhood clubs (the Window is on Adelaide West) than in conventional art galleries.
A little notebook nailed to the gallery’s door is filling up fast with enthusiastic requests for details on price and retail availability.
