Maria Ezcurra: La Procesión Va Por Dentro

Maria Ezcurra: In Your Shoes, at Sur Gallery, October 6 to December 3, reception 7-10 pm October 6.

The Argentina-born artist’s installations – made with pantyhose, shoes and blankets – conjure missing and murdered women and the trauma associated with social inequality. Sur Gallery is run by LACAP (Latin American Canadian Art Projects).

Renée Green: Begin Again, Begin Again

Renée Green: Facing, at Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art, October 6 to November 26 reception 7-10 pm October 6.

The African-American filmmaker, conceptual artist and writer brings her project about the relationships of locations to perception and memory – with the film Begin Again, Begin Again – to Toronto. (Previous iterations have included Spacing in Lisbon, Placing in Berlin, etc.)
