Books that bombed

Rating: NNNNN

THE CONTINUITY GIRL by Leah McLaren (HarperCollins)

Whiny T.O. girl travels to the UK to work on a film shoot and then, desperate to get pregnant, starts looking for sperm in all the wrong places. Way shallow – kinda like McLaren’s Globe columns.

MY FRIEND LEONARD by James Frey (Riverhead)

Unbelievable that after being exposed as a non-fiction fraud, Frey tries to fob another one off on the public. Damaged goods from damaged goods.

TERRORIST by John Updike (Knopf)

An unspeakably arrogant piece of doo doo from someone who thinks that because he’s a literary icon he can pronounce on the terrorist mentality – without doing research. This guy needs a shit detector.
