When Pride Toronto abandoned the literary series Proud Voices three years ago, Glad Day Bookshop stepped in to give writers a chance to strut their stuff. Wisely, Pride Toronto gave their decision a rethink and has partnered with the bookstore to give the program some added resources. We love it when writers get some financial benefits. Proud Voices presents 11 programs throughout the weekend, each with its own theme. See a diverse collection of readers including Vivek Shraya, Elizabeth Ruth and S. Bear Bergman.
