Fun House

Who: Thom Sokoloski

Where: Bay and Adelaide West (to participate, enter at Bay and Temperance)

Why: Everyone loves a carnival, and in this installation Sokoloski draws on the aesthetic of the old-fashioned fun-house ride. He hopes to evoke the same childlike glee we felt while riding a creaky cart through the spooky mystery rides of yesteryear. His living sculpture can be driven through, and it’s got its share of surprises, thrills and scares, but also includes QR codes that can be scanned to transform mobile devices into hand-held coloured lights.
