Vancouver-based filmmaker Nettie Wild has a rockin' resumé.
Vancouver-based filmmaker Nettie Wild has a rockin’ resumé of politically potent documentaries – Bevel Up, her film about street nurses and junkies, for one, was a revelation at last year’s Hot Docs. Now comes a new book, Wild At Heart: The Films Of Nettie Wild ($15, Anvil) by Mark Harris and Claudia Medina, that surveys her work. Film buff Marc Glassman – yes, the Pages guy – interviews Wild on Tuesday (December 8) at the Gladstone as part of This Is Not A Reading Series. See Readings.
