Julia Loktev

Brooklyn-based filmmaker/installation artist Loktev shakes up the Nuit Blanche party mood with I Cried For You. In live “auditions,” happening in real time and projected in close-up and wide shots, local actors try to cry on command for Loktev, who explores the odd intimacy of the director/actor relationship, the craft of acting and the process leading up to the outpouring.
