THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25

Cult-read UK author Will Self and actor-turned-novelist David Thewlis are interviewed by Toronto bookseller Ben McNally . 8 pm, Lakeside Terrace.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26

The festival puts the spotlight on the burgeoning genre of literary non-fiction with readings by Larry Gaudet , David Gilmour and 2007 Charles Taylor Prize winner Rudy Wiebe . 8 pm, Brigantine Room.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

NOW’s Susan G. Cole hosts a round table on War, Terror, Trauma And The New Novel with Mohsin Hamid , Alessandro Piperno and Eric Wright . 2 pm, Lakeside Terrace.

Novelists Tracy Chevalier and Helen Humphreys (The Frozen Thames, see review, page 82) share their preoccupation with London, England, when Chevalier interviews Humphreys. 2 pm, Brigantine Room.

At night, hear the five Giller Prize short-listers: Elizabeth Hay , Michael Ondaatje , Daniel Poliquin , M.G. Vassanji and Alissa York . 8 pm, Premiere Dance Theatre.
