Why: Fans of the Spike Jonze Ikea lamp commercial know that inanimate objects can be oddly expressive. Sculptors Chris Hanson and Hendrika Sonnenberg have turned street lamps into human characters. Rather than sitting sadly on the curb, however, these full-sized fixtures exhibit a range of very recognizable, and often surprising, late-night behaviours.
