Meghan Chambers and Franny McCabe-Bennett‘s show about the 20-something dating scene is disorienting, only intermittently funny and desperately in need some kind of structure.

Dubbed a “comedy cabaret,” it’s really just a confusing jumble of sketches, songs and monologues. A couple of sequences work well, like a bit about dick pics sung to Britney Spears’s Oops! I Did It Again!, complete with choreography. And there’s an amusing sketch about social media as if performed by the witches from Macbeth.

McCabe-Bennett is the more focused performer she gives her line readings a zing, especially in a nicely detailed stand-up scene about a bad date. But too often the duo seem like they’re just goofing around in a basement or – more appropriate, perhaps – a karaoke bar.
