Jake and Zoey, a husband and wife who have been together since high school, deal with strains on their marriage as they struggle to try and have a baby.

The history of their relationship unfolds in flashbacks with two sets of actors playing each role. Andrea Brown and Andrew Knowlton are the present-day couple, while Elizabeth Adams and Dylan Evans play the younger version. As flirtatious teenagers, Adams’s and Evans’s energetic performance is particularly sweet and compelling.

Nicole Hrgetic’s script has a sitcom feel to it, sometimes cute and other times overwrought, but it explores the emotional effects of infertility issues with thoughtful sensitivity.
