This uneven improv two-hander begins with a 15 minute mini-lecture where Todd Houseman and Ben Gorodetsky introduce the two strands of traditional folklore their show brings together: Cree war stories and Russian Jewish fool tales.
However, with a choppy dynamic that often sees the performers stumbling and speaking over each other, it remains unclear what insights can be gleaned from this cultural pairing, or why the two narratives run in parallel rather than being fully integrated into a single story.
