Forging ahead
There’s still life in the Toronto Theatre Alliance (TTA). At its recent AGM, the membership of the financially troubled organization voted to adopt a renewal action plan to reinvigorate the group and give it more stability. That’s exactly what can happen under its recently appointed executive director, the passionate Jacoba Knaapen , working with a new board of directors. Just as importantly, the T.O. Tix booth will stay open for business its hotline is 416-536-6468 ext 40. Go7 ,the association of artists that’s been a major force in the indie performance scene for the past few years, is disbanding because of declining revenues and overworked companies. Founder Ross Manson is approaching the TTA to continue G07’s advocacy work.
