Katherine Cullen’s solo show about living with dyslexia will resonate with anyone who’s felt unable to do things as easily as others, outside the norm or…well, just plain shamefully wrong.

Filled with ironic comedy based on personal experiences – problems using the internet, auditioning, registering for university, special-needs classes and more – the production reveals Cullen’s growing sense of worth despite the occasional problem in dealing with everyday activities.

Cullen is a winning performer with lots of charm, and she gets great help from co-writer and musician Britta Johnson, whose catchy tunes and clever collaborative lyrics give the show an extra boost. Watch the way the two of them interact and you’ll see friendship in action.

And if you’ve longed for a piñata party, you’ll enjoy one here, but not in a traditional way.
