2022 Next Stage Theatre Festival

The Toronto Fringe’s winter festival of dance, theatre, comedy and more has pivoted to an all-virtual edition this year, with some shows available on-demand and others happening live in real time. See our preview of two shows here.

Collage

The Women’s Art Association of Canada presents a virtual exhibit at the Dignam Gallery featuring the works of 31 artist members, including Carol Cormier, Ulla Djelweh, Anum Jamal and Eugenia Weinerek.

DesignTO Festival

The 7th annual celebration of contemporary design culture includes window installations viewable from outdoors, online exhibitions and workshops and in-person programming (COVID protocols vary per event).

A Sharon, Lois & Bram Singalong

Canada’s beloved musical group presents a virtual singalong show for the entire family, featuring some of their most loved numbers.

Parkdale Antique & Collectibles Market

Take a physically distanced trip into the past with this weekly market featuring some of the GTA’s finest vendors displaying their treasures, held in the beautiful Parkdale Hall.

pleasurehome: desiring queer space

U of T’s Art Museum may currently be closed, but this online exhibition by artists in a variety of media explores the unique textures of queer belonging by creating an intimate online space. Artists include John Greyson, Evan Sproat, Kaeten Bonli and Shawné Michaelain Holloway.

Shadows and Light: Six Film Portraits From LIFT Members, 1981-2001

The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto and Vucavu online screening program includes six films you can view online, including Ruba Nadda’s 1997 short Do Nothing and Jeremy Podeswa’s 1983 film David Roche Talks To You About Love.

Snow Magic final weekend

Because of the latest lockdown and increased demand, Drive Thru Fun Co’s drive-thru exhibition inspired by fire, ice and light has been extended for another week at Ontario Place. This is your last chance to catch it.
