Popular sports talk show Tim and Friends is going off the air after a two-year run.
Host Tim Micallef announced on Tuesday that the Sportsnet show will wrap up with its final episode on Apr. 11, coinciding with the Toronto Blue Jays home opener.
Micallef said he’s moving on to the network’s flagship program, Sportsnet Central, next month for the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
“I’m moving to an exciting new project on Sportsnet Central in just over two weeks where we will attempt to continue to do really good stuff. Something a little different from everywhere else in Canada again,” Micallef said in a video posted on Twitter.

Micallef said he knew from “the jump that all good things must come to an end,” but ending the show is bittersweet.
“Make no mistake, this has been a good thing if I do say so myself and most of that has to do with the team that surrounds me every damn day, five days a week,” he said.

In the show, Micallef is joined by a rotating cast of insiders and newsmakers to debate different sports topics and provide in-depth analysis.
The program initially launched as a radio show, Tim & Sid, in 2011 with former co-host Sid Seixeiro.
In Feb. 2021, Seixeiro left the talk show to join Breakfast Television as its new co-host.
