More than 150 cyclists staged a die-in in front of City Hall Friday morning, June 19, to demand the city adopt a zero tolerance on road fatalities, boost the annual budget for cycling to $20 million and build a minimum grid.

The protest comes amid one of the deadliest months in recent memory for cyclists three have died in collisions with cars in recent weeks.

Their names along with other cyclists who have died on Toronto’s roads this year were read out at the protest. One minute of silence was dedicated to each of them.
