Drake sticks to his dreams

Local hero hits Dutch Dreams to hail the ice cream joint's new move

T.O. rapper Drake sure stays true to his roots. Last week, the mega-star checked into Dutch Dreams, the ice cream spot that recently made the move from north of St. Clair on Vaughan to south of St. Clair, to say hi to his old pal, proprietor Theo Aben.

Drizzy’s been a fan of the place since he was a teenager at Forest Hill Collegiate, enthusiastically tucking into Dreams’ signature cones and sprinkles.

Aben recalls Drake from the rapper’s high school years.

“He’s been coming here since he was just a kid on that TV show.”

Aben’s talkin’ Degrassi: The Next Generation, of course.
