This year’s Toronto International Festival of Authors brings a new world into focus with over 200 FREE virtual events and activities that celebrate stories and delve into important subjects that are shaping the world around us. The festival runs from October 22 to November 1.

Tune in to livestreamed conversations and virtual readings featuring Margaret Atwood, Richard Ford, Khaled Hosseini, Desmond Cole, Maaza Mengiste, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, Billy-Ray Belcourt, Val McDermid, Ian Rankin and more. The program will also feature international poetry slams, musical acts, podcasts and kids events.

Downsview Park Nature Connection: Tree ID Challenge

Ever wondered how to tell the difference between a maple and an oak? Explore nature and learn more about trees. 10 am.

In response to COVID-19 changes to the program have been made to keep participants and staff as safe as possible. Participants and staff will be in small groups, not exceeding provincial regulations. All participants must pre-register, everyone needs a ticket to attend. We will no longer have a indoor component. We recommend participants bring a mask, and a health check in will be needed before attending all programs. Additional information will be sent to all program participants.
