Virtual Documentary Screening: Cottagers and Indians

Canadian Friends Service Committee presents an evening of online learning and discussion on reconciliation. Join CFSC’s Jennifer Preston after the film for a discussion with the film’s director, Drew Hayden Taylor. July 22 at 7 pm.

Cottagers and Indians grew out of the play written by Drew Hayden Taylor, an award winning Ojibway writer. It follows the dispute that cottagers have with the seeding of wild rice on Pigeon Lake by a member of the Curve Lake First Nation. Watch as the film explores these issues and examples from other communities across Canada.
