Crawfords warmhearted comedy follows gay couple Brett (Gregory Prest) and Drew (Paolo Santalucia) as they move from Toronto to renovate a house in the country left to Brett by his aunt. Its a classic fish-out-of-water farce, but it also has heft, dealing with small-town homophobia, internalized shame and family secrets. The main draw is that the two actors under Ann-Marie Kerrs sharp, grounded direction play over 20 characters, and theyre astonishingly nimble.
