Say farewell to the mild weather we’ve been seeing this week because it’s about to get really chilly in Toronto.
Today will see a high of 5 C, but temperatures are expected to drop to -7 C in the afternoon, and to a bitterly cold -16 with the wind chill, according to Environment Canada.
If you’re planning on staying out late on Friday be sure to wrap up as temperatures are projected to plummet even further to -24 with the wind chill overnight.
The cold front is forecast to carry over through Saturday. Environment Canada projects sunny skies, with a high of -4 C, dropping to -23 with the windchill in the morning and -8 in the afternoon.
Saturday night is expected to be clear with a slightly warmer overnight low of -8 C.
Sunday should see an end to the cold snap with a mix of sun and cloud, a 30 per cent chance of rain and a high of 3 C.
Moving into next week, temperatures are expected to stay consistently up above 0 C with sunny conditions and a high of 5 C on Monday and cloud cover with highs of 12 C on Tuesday.
