Dancer

Like all performing artists, dancers need to give up their nights and weekends and rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. But if you’ve got rhythm, grace and stamina, there are fine programs to further your education in movement. The National Ballet has its own school for up-and-coming Black Swans, of course, and there are other forms of dance and places to perfect them.

Many who train as dancers go on to teach, often in their own studios. So as with many other creative jobs, it’s good to have an entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
