Halloween Haunt to return to Canada’s Wonderland with 3 new spooky mazes

Halloween Haunt is returning to Canada’s Wonderland with three new mazes for horror fans to get their thrills this fall.

The 18th season of the annual event returns Sept. 22 and will run for 20 select nights through Oct. 29. Meanwhile, kid-friendly Camp Spooky returns for daytime fun for kids and families starting Sept. 23.

Hundreds of monsters will be unleashed throughout the park for Halloween Haunt and visitors will have seven mazes, five scare zones and six sinister shows to enjoy, plus the ability to ride roller coasters in the dark.

Dark Ride is one new maze this year where an abandoned carnival ride sits in ruin, and unbeknownst to visitors, the neglected ride houses an ominous world of terror created by outcast carnival workers.

Necropolis is another new maze this year where guests can explore the underworld where the dead wait to terrorize the living. The maze is complete with mausoleums, labyrinthine passages and dark tombs.

And lastly, the most twisted Halloween street party is available to navigate through at the new Trick or Treat Street maze. At their own risk, guests can expect deranged decor, eerie party guests and ghoulish games.

For children, Camp Spooky will also have several mazes, trick-or-treat adventures, pumpkin decorating, meet-and-greets with Halloween characters, a dance party, and much more. Camp Spooky is included with admission to the park and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and  Sundays from Sept. 23 to Oct. 29.

Live shows that are returning this year include Inferno, Skeleton Crew, Freak Show, Vampire Disco, the Deathly Drumline and the Day of the Dead Festival with a musical parade and performance by The Mexican Folk Ballet.

Guests who purchase a 2024 Gold  Pass get unlimited visits to the park in 2023 and 2024, including Halloween Haunt and WinterFest. For  more information, visit www.canadaswonderland.com/haunt.
