My pink kilt is from a second-hand shop called Bernard G.F. in Brussels. It was $29. The copper bat pin was made by my seven-year-old son, Jacob. My long-sleeved undershirt was $60 from François Beauregard in Montreal. This cotton button overshirt was $4 at an all-night market in Hong Kong. My silver hoop earrings came from a shop on Brunswick Street in Melbourne and cost $8. My 11-year-old daughter, Hallie, made my peace choker. I bought this shell choker from a northern-tribe woman on the streets of Bangkok for $2.”
