Jimmy Eat World

Rating: NN

Dropped by Capitol and finally free to record the album they always wanted to make, Jimmy Eat World stand by their “imitate and water down” credo and try to bridge the gap between dewy boy-band romance and rambunctious kiddie-punk fluff. With peppy Blink 182-type anthems interspersed with sweetly harmonized “no one cares for me” drivel, the Mark Trombino-produced Bleed American could very well make Jimmy Eat World the Savage Garden of the skateboard set.
