WHERE: In front of Gen-X 2002 (1408 Queen West, 416-534-3128)

CLOTHING: “I love the thrill of finding a treasure and wearing the booty. My classic black unpleated pants came from Goodwill Buy-the-Pound (234 Adelaide East, 416-362-4711 ext 2271) and cost $1. The fitted black top I’m wearing is bedazzled with brass studs in the chest and shoulders and has 3/4-length sleeves – $6 at Value Village (1319 Bloor West, 416-539-0585, and others). My geometric-psychedelic Art Nouveau vest cost $14 at Circa Forty (456 Queen West, 416-504-0880). These spiffy John Fluevog boots were given to me by my friend Jordan Sonenberg. My wicked-elf socks cost the equivalent of $1 from a street vendor in Mexico City and have gotten me through hell and high water. This trusty Swatch watch cost $50 at one of the pawn shops on Jarvis. My D-A-N-C-E charm bracelet was made by Barbie’s Basement Jewelry (www.bbj.ca) and cost $40 at the Les-Bi-Gay Youth Hotline (416-962-9688) fund raising auction held at Mercer Union (37 Lisgar, 416-536-1519) last year. The lovely tit pin I’m wearing was part of the Tit Pin Project produced by Paige Gatland and Ginger Takahashi at Art Metropole (788 King West, 416-703-4400). I have Ginger’s tits today! I borrowed these scary-nerd eyeglasses from my friend Will Munro.”

HAIR: “Will also cuts my hair in a Hare Krishna/Mohawk fag style at his home.”

MY STYLE: “Always hand-me-down remix-and-match keep-on-trucking tops and bottoms with a touch of femme.”
