The body of work in this exhibition explores and celebrates the ancient art of tattooing in Inuit culture. As an affirmation of this, Nunatsiavut artist, Jessica Cossey, will tattoo Niap in the traditional Inuit way, known as tunniit, during the opening reception for Ivalu. May 16-Jun 8, opening reception 6-8 pm May 16.
