OUR LAST NIGHT

Rating: NNN

Good luck to the screamo-buying public. How in the world they can differentiate between bands is anyone’s guess. Our Last Night definitely have what it takes to succeed in the oversaturated world of emo-meets-hardcore their debut disc is full of infectious, melodic hooks and throat-busting growls.

But there’s nothing here that’s better than anything else on store shelves. Another minus for this New Hampshire five-piece is that all the songs on The Ghosts Among Us sound almost exactly the same. Expect blistering riffs, sensitive breakdowns and lots and lots of loud, ear-blowing screams. If the Used and Silverstein get you off, then this should do the trick.

Our Last Night play the Opera House (Wednesday) April 16.
