Galen Kuellmer biked through Toronto carting around a trailer for his 4 x 5 studio camera. He used that camera to capture the forgotten laneways buried in the city’s neighbourhoods. The photos are now on display at Hot Shot.
Behind the shots is the tragedy of Kuellmer’s untimely death: On May 12, 2004, the young photographer died in a bicycle accident.
His friends and colleagues reflect on his work and life in the above video.
