By now, even many of the rocket-buckled members of the RFTC fan club had written off Speedo and company as another sad major-label casualty. But true to their name, the Rockets have blasted back from their premature burial with the fabulously explosive new Group Sounds album. No weepy piano interludes or sensitive strumming here — this is a fur-flying frenzy of a rock and roll brawl packed with roaring guitars and heavy honking horns. A welcome return to fighting form.
