The Black Crowes

The black
Crowes Live (V2) Rating: NNNN Rating: NNNN

Chris Robinson’s off playing solo and Steve Gorman’s gone for good, leaving the Black Crowes’s future very much up in the air. So thanks go to Rich Robinson for putting this double live CD together. I could just weep when I hear these bluesy Southern guitar rock tracks, reaching right back to Shake Your Money Maker, that have stayed the test of time, like Sometimes Salvation or She Talks To Angels. Oh! The memories! They’re all here — Black Moon Creeping, Hard To Handle, Soul Singing. Chris Robinson is undoubtedly at his best onstage, as it should be if you’re playing rock and roll. I swear I can see the lighters being held up.
