• More Info: Winter Solstice marks the moment that ends the darkest phase and longest night of the year. It’s a sacred time to celebrate the coming of the Sun as it marks the turning point to longer days. It is aligned with Hanukkah and Diwali’s celebrations of light and Christmas’ celebration of the coming of the “Son” — all born from pagan worship (in the  Northern Hemisphere) of the new life that is to come. Witches gather to honor this important shift while simultaneously drawing on nature’s energetics to to manifest our biggest dreams, release what’s holding us back and chart our path forward. The power of gathering in Circle with women is so powerful that you have to experience it for yourself (no experience necessary!). Our collective prayer for our upcoming Solstice ceremony is a call in light and unification, towards peace and love, in care and stewardship of one another and our beloved Earth. What is Ceremony? For millennia, people’s nature-based sacred practice was woven into their weekly, monthly and yearly lives. They gathered in community to honor nature’s wisdom, creative and transformative powers.  In recent history, however, the Sacred Feminine has been wiped out by world religions and removed from our relationship with the Divine. Witches believe that when humanity lost its reverence of the Sacred Feminine, we lost our reverence of Women and the Earth. Most religious communities became domineering, controlling and patriarchal. As a result many left organized religion and are now seeking cyclical, sacred touchpoints that humanity craves so deeply. This is especially true at this time when environmental crisis and war feed our desire for light and union. Seasonal Ceremony is a portal to self discovery through connection with the  energetics of nature’s cycle, the wisdom that lives within, and one another.Rooted in ancient wisdom, it’s a place to forge meaningful bonds with the sacred space of a collective. Women have been gathering in sacred ceremony for thousands of years, your soul and your cells will remember. And when you walk into Ceremony, you will feel it. It will be a feeling completely new, and very familiar at the same time. Timing: As I’m sure we all agree, gathering for sacred ceremony in person is such a gift. The depths that we are able to reach when we are in a space together is unparalleled. Arrival: 6:15-6:45 PM Gather in Community Outwitch’s kitchen to share tea and connect with one another before entering the Sacred Ceremony. We will then initiate our Circle, opening sacred space promptly at 6:45, when we go through the gate (a ceremonial cleansing process that we’ll explain when we are together) and the ceremony will start at 7pm and complete around 9pm. You are welcome to stay after to connect, digest and ask Alex any questions about the ceremony.
