Invocation TO launches a three-day festival of experimental music
Invocation TO’s Jason Pollard, booker of west-end warehouse event space Geary Lane, is launching a three-day festival of experimental music.
Billed as “an awakening of experimental music in Toronto,” Sound Séance I features a collaborative performance by Suuns and Jerusalem in My Heart, Wrekmeister Harmonies (members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor), Kansas City psych act Expo 70, Sandro Perri and Lorenz Peter’s modular synth project Off World, and Montreal’s Caro Diaro and Technical Kidman. Local acts Mimico, Dirty Inputs, Babel, Carl Didur, Jay Holy and DJs from Bile Sister and Ice Cream round out the bill.
The festival runs June 12 to 14. Individual shows cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door. A limited number of three-day passes are now available at rotate.com, soundscapesmusic.com and ilikegoodmusic.com for a mere $30. And here is the link to the Facebook group.
