The summer is almost here and Norfolk County is offering a chance to win free tickets to live shows and concerts!
Norfolk County is a vacation destination that is not your typical Ontario trip. The beautiful and peaceful County provides a wide range of experiences, natural wonders, and an activity for everyone.
From Florida-worthy beaches to wineries that rival the south of France, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities and nature from just one destination. Norfolk is also home to one of the most unique biospheres in Canada, with exceptional levels of diversity that come second only to the Amazon. Whether you enjoy kayaking, fine dining, bird watching, live events, agro-tourism, or something completely different, there’s something for you in Norfolk!
Something else unique to this area is Amplify Norfolk. Launched in 2023, the goal of this initiative is to attract tourists to the County through a huge lineup of entertainment events happening in 2023 and 2024.
The Amplify Norfolk initiative kicks off in June during the weeklong Norfolk Community Days event, with Fairgrounds Festival. This music fesitval is hosted by the Norfolk County Agricultural Society (NCAS) and will feature Canadian rock band The Beaches on the main stage on June 9, followed by Finger Eleven, Sloan, and Bif Naked on June 10.
Also scheduled to perform at different venues across Norfolk this year are the Arkells, DJ Vekked, Diana Krall, Barenaked Ladies, and much more.
Meanwhile, Norfolk County’s “Find Your Folk Meadow” within the festival grounds will host numerous activities, workshops, and immersive experiences to celebrate local talent. There will also be a local stage nearby hosting homegrown talent arranged by the Norfolk County Agricultural Society (NCAS). In addition, food trucks, more than 40 artisan vendors, interactive games and a beer garden will be on-site, along with Norfolk’s various restaurants, wineries, and breweries that visitors and locals can enjoy.
“I am thrilled an event of this caliber is happening in Norfolk County. The Fairgrounds Festival is the complete package – great entertainment, food, drink, and vendors,” Mayor Amy Martin said. “If you need me on June 9 and 10 – you know where I’ll be!”
To celebrate the upcoming Fairgrounds Festival, Norfolk County is giving away four pairs of tickets (8 tickets total)!
The contest starts on May 26 and runs until June 2 at 4 p.m. The draw will be held on June 3. Participants must be 18+, and must like the Instagram post below, follow @nowtoronto and @norfolktour, and comment who they would take to the festival in order to be eligible for the tickets.
