Join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary Edition of the Toronto International Festival of Authors, Canada’s largest and longest-running festival of words and ideas.

An incredible lineup of events is coming your way from October 24 to November 3, featuring a combination of Festival favourites as well as new and influential voices. The 11-day Festival will bring together more than 200 participants from over 30 countries for 60+ events, including panel discussions, one-on-one interviews, readings, anniversary parties, book signings, theatrical and musical presentations and more.

Reading & Conversation: Michael Christie, Emma Donoghue and Ian Williams                                                   

Emma Donoghue’s screenplay of Room earned the film four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. Join Donoghue with 2019 Scotiabank Giller Prize nominees, Michael Christie and Ian Williams, for discussion on the family dramas that unravel in their latest works.
