What we’re drinking tonight: Beau’s Le Coeur Noir Black IPA

Why Do you ever get the urge to take a black Sharpie to the scourge of money-can-buy-you-love, heart-shaped trash that assaults from all angles in the weeks leading up to mid-February? No? Then can we at least agree that pastel pink gets mighty tiresome around this time of year? Even red loses some of its vibrancy post-Chinese New Year celebrations. In defiance, I’m painting it black with Beau’s Le Coeur Noir, a raven-hued, resiny, dark-roast IPA brewed collaboratively with Jordan Rainhard (rainhardbrewing.com). The branding is terrific and the liquid nice and bitter – just the way I like it.
