Rating: NNNNN
WHAT: Boutari Naoussa 2004 (red) Rating: NNN
WHERE: Naoussa, Greece
WHY: It’s very difficult to find decent Pinot Noir in this price range, so why bother? Here, the Xinomarvo grape performs a very credible Pinot impersonation. Fine texture, soft fruit, with a luxurious helping of oak. The label was launched in 1888, making this Greece’s first bottled wine.
PRICE: 750 ml/$11.85
AVAILABILITY: At most Vintages outlets (product #23218)
