WHY: To celebrate Creemore’s 25th anniversary, brewmaster Gord Fuller visited the Zum Schlüssel brew pub in Düsseldorf, the traditional home of altbier. A quarter-century of experience and some well-travelled Schlüssel yeast have gone into this beautifully balanced lagered ale.
Within three sips, I could envision a night at the taps drinking mug after mug of this yeast-meets-west delight.
