WHAT : Henry of Pelham Sur Lie Chardonnay 2004 VQA (white)
RATING : NNN
WHERE : Niagara Peninsula
WHY : You’re probably getting ready to sit down to turkey, and a number of wines would go well with it. If you want to go white, this is a good choice. Its got the approachability of a chardonnay, but without the oak, it doesn’t get too big. Could also work for vegetarian options.

WHAT : Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Brouilly (red)
RATING : NNN
WHERE : Beaujolais, France
WHY : Another bird-worthy choice. Not to be confused with the more publicized nouveau, this wine comes specifically from the Brouilly region of Beaujolais. Soft, light and bright, it has a spicy kick that will help cut through the gravy slush. Look for the bottle that resembles a bowling pin.
