As Talia Baiocchi notes in her fabulous book Sherry: A Modern Guide To The Wine World’s Best-Kept Secret (Ten Speed, $29), El Maestro Sierra is one of the only bodegas in Jerez run by a woman the cellar master is also female (one of two in the region). Both grounded and ethereal, this oloroso is dizzyingly refined and insanely under-priced. I could probably drink it all, but stuff this good should be shared.
