WHY: Who doesn’t immediately think of Japan when you say “Belgian-style wheat beer”? Kiuchi Brewery, a long-established sake and beer producer, is back in production post-earthquake, so hopefully we’ll continue to get this emphatically flavoured brew. You take a sip and you think, “What’s that?” Then on the ingredients list it says nutmeg. Different but not too freaky. All very clean and bracing, with a long, spicy finish. Try it with ceviche. Not cheap, but worth it just for the label.
