WHAT: Locke’s 8-Year-Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey
WHERE: Cooley, Ireland
WHY: Distilled by the good people of Cooley, who then ship it to Kilbeggan, where it ages in the original stone warehouses of the old Locke’s distillery. It’s a delightful jig of banana, brown sugar, beeswax, caramel, smoke and spice on the finish. A wee party in your mouth now, to be sure.
