A weekly look at what’s on LCBO shelves
WHAT: Lenz Moser Prestige Grüner Veltliner 2008 (white) Rating: NNN
WHERE: Niederösterreich, Austria
WHY: Another impossible-to-remember wine name: Grüner Veltliner. Probably the best way to cement it into your consciousness would be to drink this example. The whiff is very pretty/ perfumy. The flavour and texture are light and citrusy but steer clear of pucker. Great for veggie fare, seafood or just escaping the soul-sapping dark depths of January.
PRICE: 750 ml/$12.95
AVAILABILITY: At selected Vintages outlets as of January 23 (product #71233)
