WHY: Shepherd Neame has been making beer using water from the same well since 1698. That 300th anniversary staff party must have been wicked. Even though it was named in honour of Battle of Britain aviators, you’ll have to try a little harder to get bombed on this ale. As a “session beer,” Spitfire delivers full, balanced flavour, relatively light body and lower alcohol content. Classic stuff.
