Cocktails fight breast cancer
Cold Tea (60 Kensington) and Thomas Lavers Cannery & Delicatessen (193 Baldwin, 647-351-1959) present their second annual cocktail competition for a cause on Monday (February 17) at 8 pm. Come on down to watch chef/bartender duos from Bar Isabel, Home of the Brave, Momofuku Noodle Bar and Valdez mix off in battle cardamom. I'll be helping with the judging. All proceeds go to breast cancer.
Junction brew pub Indie Ale House (2876 Dundas West, 416-760-9691, indiealehouse.com) is teaming up with Cheese Boutique (45 Ripley, 416-762-6292, cheeseboutique.com) for the next installment of its Kitchen Collaboration series on February 27 from 6 to 9 pm. Cheese Boutique's Afrim Pristine, the world's youngest maître fromager, pairs a three-course family-style dinner with rare and exclusive Indie brews. Tickets $65 at eventbrite.ca.
