Expect shabby, not chic — hey, it’s the Market. Best: freshly deep-fried $2 falafels topped with strong onion and even stronger homemade hot sauce grilled veggie or fava-bean puree wrapped in pita or sold in containers jars of pickled eggplant spiced with walnuts, pine nuts and garlic. Complete dinners for $6 per person ($3 at lunch), including all taxes. Open Monday to Saturday 10:30 am to 8 pm, and Sunday noon to 7 pm. Unlicensed. Smoke-free. Cash only.
