Expect shabby, not chic — hey, it’s the Market. Best: freshly deep-fried $2 falafels topped with strong onion and even stronger homemade hot sauce grilled veggie or fava-bean puree wrapped in pita or sold in containers jars of pickled eggplant spiced with walnuts, pine nuts and garlic. SOUL SQUARE (19 Baldwin, 341-0777) Decked out with an awesome collection of pop culture flotsam — Teletubbies, Smurfs, Pez dispensers — this super-hip room offers up some inexpensive all-inclusive meals that eclectically sample Japanese, Hungarian and Indian fare. Just don’t expect fireworks.Best: garlic and Thai chili-topped sea bass with grilled veggies and cellophane noodles rack of lamb — three chops, really — with red-wine onion sauce. Complete dinners for $20 per person ($15 at lunch), including all taxes, tip and a glass of wine. Open Monday to Friday 11 am to 11 pm, Saturday 12:30 to 11 pm.
