Best: chilled summer soups like pulpy gazpacho, dill-ish yogurt cucumber, guacamole with a peppery punch sandwich and salad combos in infinite variations — ham, avocado, provolone on Dijoned baguette with retro greens tossed in poppy-seed lemon mayo, perhaps? Lattes and caps, homemade iced tea and lemonade, memorable in-house muffins that always sell out early. Nippy huevos rancheros with tortilla and salsa at brunch.
